I think this theory can be expanded to many schools of design. We are criticized for being greedy, but on the other hand our predecessors didn't leave school with half the debt we have. Is it really possible to be a free designer without a personal financial background? Possibly, but it can't be easy. We sold out before we even left school. We sold ourselves for a degree with a name.
